With comedy, you not only laugh but you also gain understanding in a unique way. Comedy has a setup and then a punch line. The setup moves the audience in one direction-toward what is expected. The punch line occurs when you change direction and take the audience to the unexpected. This same process can be applied to life. Comedian Michael Jr. shows how to take your lifes setups and then change direction in a way that brings fulfillment, revelation, and joy not only to you but also to those around you.

Shirzad Chamine shows Stanford students how his research on positive intelligence can help them achieve their full potential for professional success and personal fulfillment.

Professor Shirzad Chamine is author of the New York Times bestseller Positive Intelligence. His work exposes 10 well-disguised mental saboteurs and shares how to defeat them. According to Chamine, «positive intelligence» measures the percentage of time our mind serves us as opposed to sabotaging us. While IQ and EQ (emotional intelligence) contribute to our maximum potential, it is PQ that determines how much of that potential we actually achieve. Chamine is chairman emeritus of CTI, the largest coachtraining organization in the world. Chamine has coached hundreds of CEOs and their executive teams. Before running CTI, he was the CEO of an enterprise software company. His background includes PhD studies in neuroscience in addition to a BA in psychology, an MS in electrical engineering and an MBA from Stanford.

Happiness depends on the goodness of our jobs, and those good jobs are made not found.

Shane J. Lopez, Ph.D., is the world’s leading researcher on hope. His mission is to help people of all ages exercise some control over what their future can become and to teach them how to aim for the future they want in school, work and life. He is also one of the most vocal advocates of psychological reform of America’s education system. He helps schools function less like impersonal factories and more like dynamic human development centers that help students achieve the meaningful futures they say they really want – including a good job and a happy family.

Парк, находящийся недалеко от Принстона, не только знакомит с современной скульптурой и популяризирует изобразительное искусство (Моне, Руссо, Матисс, Ренуар, Мунк), но и создает новую реальность своими композициями, выполненными в человеческий рост, и воспроизводящими поверхности кожи и материалов с детальной точностью). Очень интересно обнаруживать в разных уголках парка скульптуры, которые принимаешь за людей и людей, которых подозреваешь в скульптурности. Отдельное впечатление- скульптуры в многоэтажный дом. В парке есть чудесный ресторанчик с романтичным пейзажем.

Я с другом Ильёй отправляюсь в путешествие по западному побережью США на автомобиле. Пространство сжимается до одной точки: нашего старенького автомобиля на котором мы колесим вдоль побережья Тихого океана, с севера на юг по штату Калифорния. Каждый вечер мы ночуем под звездным небом, на пляжах, у трассы, в пустыне, там где нас застанет ночь. Вокруг мир без людей и только дорога, которая уводит нас всё дальше и дальше от привычной реальности.
