Teaching has always been one of his passions and he has led groups of young leaders since 2006. He has given workshops, talks and classes in 3 different continents and is currently a Master Teacher in Skillshare where he teaches classes on nurturing happiness and learning foreign languages.

Matt Abrahams is a passionate, collaborative and innovative educator, author and coach. At Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, Matt teaches popular courses in Strategic Communication and Effective Virtual Presenting. He is also Co-Founder and Principal at Bold Echo Communications Solutions, a presentation and communication skills company based in Silicon Valley.
Matt recently published the third edition of Speaking Up Without Freaking Out, a book written to help those wishing to be more confident and compelling communicators. Prior to teaching, Matt held senior leadership positions at several software companies, where he created and ran global learning and development organizations. When not teaching and coaching, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, martial arts and eating dessert.
A chance encounter with members of the Ku Klux Klan led black musician Daryl Davis on a quest to determine the source of the hate. His unorthodox, yet simple approach, has wielded surprising results and just might be the solution for all racial discourse.
Daryl Davis graduated from Howard University with a degree in Jazz. As a pianist, vocalist, and guitarist, he performs nationally and internationally with The Daryl Davis Band. He has also worked with such notables as Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley’s Jordanaires, The Legendary Blues Band, and many others.
In 1983, A chance occurrence after one of his performances led him to befriend a member of the Ku Klux Klan. This eventually led Daryl to become the first black author to travel the country interviewing KKK leaders and members, all detailed in his book, Klan-Destine Relationships. Today, Daryl owns numerous Klan robes and hoods, given to him by active members who became his friends and renounced the organization.
Since his journey began, Davis has joined an all-white country band, attended KKK rallies, and accepted a “certificate of friendship” from the Traditionalist American Knights of the KKK. He’s even the godfather of former Klan Imperial Wizard Roger Kelly’s granddaughter.
Davis has received the Elliott-Black and MLK awards as well as numerous other local and national awards for his work in race relations, and is often sought by media outlets as a consultant on the KKK and race relations. He is also an actor with stage and screen credits, appearing in the critically acclaimed HBO police drama, The Wire, and most recently, as the subject of the documentary Accidental Courtesy, which filmed his real life encounters with Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazi leaders as he helps to dismantle racism across the United States

Philip Fernbach is a cognitive scientist and professor in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Co-author of The Knowledge Ilusion: Why We Never Think Alone, Philips research focuses on why we think we know more than we actually do and the implications this has on individuals and society. He lives in Boulder with his wife and two children. In his free time, he plays bluegrass music and ice hockey. Jon is a farmer from northeastern Thailand. He founded the Pun Pun Center for Self-reliance, an organic farm outside Chiang Mai, with his wife Peggy Reents in 2003. Pun Pun doubles as a center for sustainable living and seed production, aiming to bring indigenous and rare seeds back into use. It regularly hosts training on simple techniques to live more sustainably. Outside of Pun Pun, Jon is a leader in bringing the natural building movement to Thailand, appearing as a spokesperson on dozens of publications and TV programs for the past 10 years. Marcy Houses — это огромный квартал социального жилья в Бруклине, Нью-Йорк, в котором, в основном, живут афроамериканцы. Называют такие кварталы Projects или Project Houses. Этот район можно назвать гетто, потому что это место, которое не живущие здесь предпочитают обходить стороной. Район BedStuy (Bedford-Stuyvesant) — место красивой исторической застройки, где более ста лет назад строили себе дома богатые нью-йоркцы. А во второй половине 20-го века здесь начали возводить комплексы социального жилья и переселять черное население города. В итоге, BedStuy стал населен исключительно афроамериканцами и так продолжалось несколько десятков лет. И только в начале 2010-ых начался обратный процесс — джентрификация — когда в район с дешевой н недвижимостью начали приезжать новые жители, открывать бизнесы, и стоимость аренды начала быстро расти, а социальный и этнический состав населения сильно меняться.
Marcy Houses знамениты тем, что там родился рэпер Jay-Z (Джей Зи), еще несколько известных музыкантов и спортсменов. Но для жителей Бруклина и Нью-Йорка Projects или Project Houses сейчас — это место, в первую очередь, ассоциируется с небезопасной обстановкой и бедностью.
Так ли все на самом деле в черных кварталах Нью-Йорка, на самом ли деле это гетто, бедно ли там и опасно — все это решил выяснить Леня Пашковский и «Хочу домой».
Я пообщаюсь с местными жителями в Projects или Project Houses, поговорю с ними о их жизни, культуре, хип-хоп музыке, проблемах и мечтах, чтобы у вас сложилась максимально полная картина того, какой жизнью живут эти люди.
И, как ни странно, у нас с ними найдется немало общего.
