In true Bacon style, he embraced the «Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon» trivia phenomenon and founded SixDegrees.org, a charitable initiative that links people to charities and each other for the purpose of making a difference.

LoVina Louie explains the historical root causes for the challenges facing many Native Americans. LoVina is director of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s Marimn Health Wellness Center as well as the Coordinator for Qwest Life. She earned her Bachelors Degree from University of Idaho in Organizational Sciences with an emphasis in Community and Tribal Wellness.

LoVina is the visionary behind the revolutionary exercise series “Powwow Sweat” and co-directed the American Indian Film Festival and Red Nation Film Festival award winning music video “We Shall Remain.”

As a former Miss Indian World, she has traveled to hundreds of tribal communities. LoVina is a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and an amazing human being. Nixiwaka Yawanawá is a member of the Yawanawá tribe — a community of indigenous people who live within the Amazon rainforest — on the Acre River Headwaters Indigenous Land. Like many other Amazonian tribes, the Yawanawá rely on the rainforest for their subsistence, and the land holds a very deep spiritual significance, Nixiwaka says. However, their land is being illegally invaded and projects like dams, roads, mining and agriculture are destroying their way of life.

Indigenous people are all over Brazil are speaking out against these changes and fighting for their right to live on their ancestral lands in peace. Nixiwaka asks us to consider why a way of life that is designed to be entirely in tune with its environment and resources is being destroyed by a way of life that isn’t.

With an appreciation of flow and motion Peggys life has been always been driven by passion. From surfing and skateboarding to the intimate appreciation what she calls the Cetacean Nation. In 2004, she founded the Origami Whales Project to raise awareness about commercial whaling. She has also developed the Whales and Dolphins Ambassador Program and led campaigns such as ‘Let’s Face It’, which petitions to save New Zealand’s critically endangered Maui’s dolphins and Hector’s dolphins.
